This illustration is taken from a photo from a social media connection posted early in his Instagram development. I saw it and, as with many of my other illustrations, was inspired to reproduce it. I loved the feel of camaraderie, the youth, the feeling of future and a look of wonder… All in the eyes of a couple kids… brave seamen on leave.
While I don’t technically know this person, I hope he isn’t offended (or freaked out) that I drew him and his friend. It really is meant to be a tribute to him and all he provides to his online audience (politically and psychologically😉 … really, if you haven’t read his posts or followed him on twitter, you should.
Anyway… a borrowed Instagram post and a few hours later we have this. (Insert “Ta-Daa” voice) … I hope you enjoy it. ;)
