Sunflower Rise Drops
Oh, the days we danced and sang,
Endless summer mornings came
To wake our dreams of sport and space
And paint discovery across our face.
Oh, the days we danced and sang,
From sticks to stones our weapons made
Battles of knights and thrones to hold
The victories of life and loves foretold.
Oh, the days we danced and sang,
Stomping through puddles from fresh cool rain.
Nights on mist, so warm and calm
Lasted forever — ‘till streetlights came on.
