Description

Be Original. Be Vocal. Be Sue…

The story behind this illustration comes from a combined love of all things Shel Silverstein and the dynamic presence of Johnny Cash. “A Boy Named Sue” (Written by Silversten) was the first song I remember hearing by Cash, opening up a world of incredible music and a tortured “Rock N Roll” life that solely belongs to Johnny.

I can’t deny there’s also a satirical wink in the illustration to the absurdity of country music’s toxic masculinity and nod to equal representation for all … 🌈🤘😛

In honor of #PrideMonth and for all those I love and support. This one goes out to you!
